Antonio D'Alfonso was born in Montreal in 1953. He attended English and French schools and studied at Loyola College where he earned a B.A. in Communication Arts in 1975. He completed an M.Sc. in Communications Studies from UniversiteĢ de MontreĢal. In1978 he founded Guernica Editions, where he edited 450 books by authors from around the world.
